One of the oldest historical city in Europe. So many monuments everywhere you go. I would go back in heartbeat. There is so much old and new about this city. We stayed in a monastery Casa II Rosario dating back to 1700. The nuns were strict with their rules but friendly.  Breakfast was served at set times and it was basically juice, coffee, tea, croissants, buns and deli meat.  If you were stayed out late you would be locked out as they close the doors at 1159pm.  It was simple setting, rooms were large. Beds were comfortable but narrow.  We got the room with 2 single beds. The place was a little difficult to find in the beginning but once we were there it was pretty close to the metro station and 10 min walk to the coliseum.

Spanish steps was super crowded. So we walked to the top and visited the cathedral Trinita dei Monti built by French and the steps were build to connect the Spanish square below ( Piazza Di Spagna )in the 1700.

Trevi Fountain was another tourist stop and once again it was crowded. Barely got close to it to throw in a Lira and make a wish. But then there are so many beautiful fountains all over Rome.

We were located in the center of Rome with many restaurants, bars and shops nearby. Pizza are sold by the weight. So you point which one you want and how big a slice, and you pay by weight. Pizza are premade and they usually only have 2 or 3 toppings max. Even few toppings they taste delicious.

And then there is the Vatican. A must see stop. There are 3 main places to visit. There is the St Paul Cathedral, The Vatican Museum and the Sisten Chapel
