Travel Masters kicked off its first ever Impact Awards honouring outstanding achievement across five categories: marketing, business growth, community service, partnership and lifetime achievement.

Five agents and one franchise partner were celebrated Saturday, December 6 during the annual Travel Masters Christmas Party at the Brock House Restaurant in Vancouver, British Columbia. Members of the Travel Masters Support Team were on hand to present the awards.

“We are an innovator and leader in our space, and we are regularly recognized through industry awards,” said Travel Masters Chief Operating Officer James Shearer. “We know that as a company we receive awards but the real winners are our agents and franchise partners. It was a true honour to present our first annual Travel Masters Impact Awards to six individuals within our team who really exemplify what makes us great.”

This year’s winners were:

MARKETING SUCCESS
Filomena Punzo of Vancouver executed consistent and effective marketing activities leading to tangible results. Her business grew substantially through extensive use of social media platforms especially Facebook, email promotions, corporate gifts, events and Ensemble marketing programs.

BUSINESS GROWTH
Phyllis Johnson of Prince Albert generated the highest percentage of revenue growth in 2014. She had one of her best business years ever, with a percentage increase in triple digits. Travel Masters is proud to be a part of her great success.

COMMUNITY HERO
Travel Masters strongly believes in giving back to the community and two of our agents demonstrated their drive for positive change, dedicated involvement and unyielding commitment to community projects that have dramatically changed the lives of thousands of people. Jan and Terry Umbach of Sechelt worked tirelessly to help provide access to safe and clean water for a remote village in Kenya.

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT
Gail Searson has exemplified the highest standard of customer service and now provides a legacy for others to follow and admire. In her 30 years as an agent, she prides herself on her attention to detail, and perseverance to ensure her clients’ needs are not only met but surpassed.

TEAM MEMBER OF THE YEAR
Wendy Jimenez of Vancouver Downtown displays an unwavering passion for Travel Masters and has consistently shown ongoing engagement through events, training and many other activities including her own involvement in charity and community projects. Wendy has also provided excellent leadership to her team.
