Travel Masters hosted their second annual Supplier Appreciation Night at The Vancouver Club on Thursday April 19th, 2012. In attendance were over 50 people, including suppliers, travel agents and the entire Travel Masters Support Team.
“Our relationships with agents and suppliers are our top priority,” said Neil McMahon, Chief Excellence Officer, in an address to the attendees.
“This was a great night,” said Janet Maier, Travel Consultant for Travel Masters. “I had the opportunity to meet suppliers I’ve been talking to online or on the phone for years, face to face. It’s always fun to meet people and this was a perfect opportunity to put a face to a name.”
Some quotes from attendees
The Air Canada team appreciates the level of commitment and investment Travel Masters shows towards its suppliers. Opportunities like your Supplier Appreciation Night really allow us to get to know the people in your growing business much better – many we deal with ‘virtually’ but finally had the chance to say ‘hello’ in person. A very nice evening fuelled by the usual Travel Masters hospitality! Many thanks!
James Howey, Regional General Manager, Passenger Sales – British Columbia, Air Canada
“Thank you for the wonderful event last evening. It is so rare that an account takes the time to recognize the efforts of their supplier partners. It is the true essence of partnership and very much appreciated.”
Kim Lucy, Director, Business Development, Western Canada, Viking River Cruises
“Travel Masters hosted a “Supplier Appreciation Event” at the beautiful Vancouver Club last week. As the Business Development Manager, Western Canada for Ensemble Travel Group; I was invited to attend. Neil, Jackie, the management team and many of their fantastic Agents were there to say “thank you” to US…their “suppliers”. Every supplier in that room felt honoured; appreciated and respected. Thanks Travel Masters for all you do and for making us feel that we are part of the team!”
Tricia Kentel, Business Development Manager, Ensemble Travel Group
“It was such a delight to be hosted by our good colleagues at Travel Masters.
The opportunity to mix and mingle with all of the team, who are spread out wide and far and to meet with the support team is invaluable. I say huge kudos to TM for offering up such a treat of a reception, ginger snaps and all”
Michael Mullin, Boomerang & Exotik Tours. Business Development Manager, Western Canada, Thomas Cook Group.
“We wanted to give our suppliers some kind of prize – a trip around the world, or some other extravagance but then quickly realized that the very best thank you gift we could give them were Kathleen’s coveted homemade gingersnaps,” remarked McMahon. Living up to her nickname as the baking queen, Travel Masters’ Knowledge Concierge Kathleen Mitu prepared a batch of 900 cookies. Each supplier left with a bag of gingersnaps baked for them. “I think we hit a home run with this event bringing everyone together.”
