Being that March has spring break, it would seem the powers that be feel we don’t need a long weekend in March (enter eye roll). However with the next 3 day weekend in T-minus 22 days, (Good Friday here we come) we felt it our civic duty to apprise you of the awesomeness that is only a flight away. And trust me, you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how far one can travel over a long weekend.

EAST SIDE STORY
The luckiest of us Canadian folk are those who reside around the Toronto/Montreal call sign. There are some truly exotic destinations you can hop a flight to and be home in time to get your eight hours before heading back to work on Monday.
RUNNING BACK TO SASKATOON
For those residing on the Great Plains, there are admittedly fewer choices for a truly stunning 3-day weekend; or as we called it in Manitoba, “Winnipeg Summer”. That said there are some spectacular choices that are direct from YXE specifically where fun can be had in a short amount of time.
The western provinces fare better with Calgary being home to Westjet and the sheer sizes of both YYC and YEG. If you’re from Wild Rose Country here are some options for your three-day getaway.
On the west coast, we tend to have a few options ourselves as Seattle is home to Alaska Air in addition to YVR being the second busiest airport in Canada. If you’re a coast dweller like myself here are some of your long weekend options.
