We arrived home yesterday afternoon after a stunning trip. Everything went like clockwork and Mark and I rode extensively on various forms of public transport in all three cities – buses, metros, overland trains as well as The Shinkansen of course. A ferry at one point too. Every single one wholly efficient and bang on time.
Air Canada served up vegetarian out and back which worked and the Sheraton Hiroshima has indeed switched us already to a non-smoking room. Thank you for getting those last two requests through.

We will definitely go back and having been there, we now have a good sense of how a second visit would supplement this one. It’s a stunningly sophisticated country and people. We loved it. Certainly a challenge being vegetarian but we would be thrilled to return.
